| Adding a suspended ceiling to the train room was one of the major projects completed by June 2008. Of course, it would have been soooo much easier to have installed the ceiling first! | Metal railroad signs by MicroScale were installed all along the valance, after the ceiling installation was completed. |

| This section was added by late June. It connects the former upper level staging yard to the new Kansas City area which is to the right of the barely visible door at the right edge of the photo. | Kansas City area in early stages of benchwork construction. The door is just to the left and not visible in this photo. A removable section goes across the doorway to connect this part with the rest of the layout. |

| Found time between ceiling and benchwork construction to paint and decal this Rexall Chemical hopper. The prototype was not cylindrical, but I decided I wanted mine to be cylindrical. | Farm scene completed in Sept 2008. The farm house is from a laser kit by American Model Builders. (More farm photos on the next page.)
